PowerSchool 12.0.4 Report Card issue

PowerSchool 12.0.4 Report Card issue

In version 12.0.4, PowerSchool introduced a limit to the number of records that can be retrieved via tlist_sql.  As a result, any request that would retrieve more than 50,00 records will return only the first 50,000.

This limitation causes the MBA Report Card Creator to fail to generate report cards in some circumstances when running for large groups of students.  This issue is most likely to arise when generating standards based report cards.

Consider the following scenario when generating a standards based report card:

200 students

8 courses per student (average)

15 standards per course (average)

4 grading terms (i.e. Q1-Q4)

This would result in a query that would return approximately (200 x 8 x 15 x 4) 96,000 standard grade records, and the report cards would not successfully generate for this group of students.

For PowerSchool Customers already on version 12.0.4 or above, running report cards for smaller groups of students will serve as a temporary workaround.  MBA developers are currently working on a new version of the MBA Report Card Creator that will accommodate the limitation PowerSchool introduced in version 12.0.4.  We do not have a target release date for this update but will keep you posted on our progress.
